I'm a full-stack web developer with over fifteen years of experience. I've mainly moved between Rails and Node, with occasional forays into SPAs, and worked with clients ranging from small startups to enterprises. These days I write most of my code through AI coding agents rather than by hand.

I like to understand the business before any code gets written, and to turn that understanding into automated scenarios and tests. With agents writing the code, this matters more than ever: tests and clear specs are how I steer them and check their work. I prefer clear over clever. I like to deploy fast, small, and often, and to know about problems in production before users do. I like talking to users, to the business, and to colleagues. And above all, I like building software.
